Section 1: Overview

Journal of Optoelectronic and Biomedical Materials (JOBM) is an international peer-reviewed journal published by the Virtual Company of Physics (ISSN: 2066-0049). Launched in 2009, it publishes four issues per year and is indexed in Journal Citation Reports, Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI), Web of Science Core Collection, and Google Scholar.

The journal serves as a forum for materials scientists, physicists, chemists, biomedical engineers, and related professionals worldwide, publishing papers on crystalline and non-crystalline materials, nanomaterials, nanoparticles, coatings, thin films, advanced biomaterials, organic and inorganic nanomaterials, organic thin films, hybrids and composites, with relevance to optoelectronics, photonics, or biomedical sciences.

Section 3: Aims & Scope

JOBM welcomes papers from any area of materials science, such as physics, chemistry, nanomaterials, thin films, photonics, or biomedical engineering, as long as there is a clear link to optoelectronic or biomedical applications. Papers should contribute to the understanding or development of advanced materials, regardless of whether they focus on optoelectronics, biomedicine, or both. We welcome rigorous research using any method, including experimental, computational, characterization, or review approaches. We are globally inclusive and encourage authors to contextualize their work, whether in terms of synthesis, environment, or potential clinical use.

The scope includes, but is not limited to:

  - Crystalline and non crystalline materials;

  - Nanomaterials;

  - Nanoparticles;

  - Coatings and thin films;

  - Optoelectronics and photonics;

  - Advanced structured biomaterials;

  - Organic and inorganic nanomaterials;

  - Organic thin films;

  - Inorganic organic hybrids and composites;

  - Biomedical sciences.

Accepted article types: Original Research, Literature Review (systematic review, mini review, etc.), Short Report / Short Communication, Case Report.
